About us
Primate Girls Go Green Foundation is a youth-led environmental organization based in Uganda. We empower girls and young women to lead climate action through fruit tree planting, creating greener, healthier, and more food-secure communities.
We focus on planting fruit-bearing trees, educating communities on environmental conservation, mentoring young eco-leaders, and promoting sustainable development. Our mission is simple:
Grow trees. Empower girls. Protect the future.
What Sets Us Apart
We combine environmental action, youth empowerment, and community development to create lasting impact across Uganda.

Planting with Purpose
We plant fruit trees that fight climate change and feed communities.

Empowering Young Women
We train and support girls to become bold leaders in climate action.

Greening Communities
We engage schools and villages in creating cleaner, greener, and more sustainable environments.
The Tree Diary
The Tree Diary is a visual and storytelling space that captures the journey of our tree planting efforts — from seedlings in the soil to fruit-bearing trees transforming communities. It documents the hands, hearts, and hopes behind every planting day.
Each entry in the diary tells a story: of girls taking climate action, of trees growing in schools and villages, and of the impact on families, nutrition, and the environment.
It’s a living record of change — one tree, one girl, one community at a time.
Green Girls Network
Green Girls Network is our vibrant platform for connecting, empowering, and celebrating young women leading climate action across Uganda. Through this space, girls and young women share their experiences, lead tree-planting initiatives, and collaborate on solutions to local environmental challenges.
It’s more than a network — it’s a growing sisterhood of eco-leaders rooted in purpose and powered by action. From school gardens to reforestation drives, this hub nurtures leadership, learning, and lasting change.
Together, we grow trees, build skills, and shape a greener future — one girl at a time.

The Canopy Circle
Behind every fruit tree we plant and every young girl we empower, there’s a quiet force helping our mission grow a circle of support that strengthens our roots and expands our reach. We call it The Canopy Circle ,a source of encouragement, wisdom, and shared purpose.
Like the canopy of a thriving forest, it offers shelter, strength, and space for new life to emerge. With every action we take, this unseen ecosystem helps ideas blossom and real change take root. Together, we’re nurturing a future that’s greener, stronger, and full of promise.

Voices from the Field
These are the voices that matter most from the youth we empower, the communities we serve, and the partners who walk this journey with us. Each story reflects the real impact of planting trees, nurturing hope, and building a greener future, one step at a time.

Before joining Primate Girls Go Green, I never thought I could make a real difference. Now, I’ve helped plant over 100 fruit trees in my village, and I mentor other girls to do the same. It’s more than planting it’s about leading, learning, and growing.
Aisha, 17 (Wakiso District)
Youth Leader

These fruit trees have brought more than food. They’ve brought purpose to our youth and fresh hope to our soil. I see a greener tomorrow because of what these girls are doing today.
Mr. Tumwine, Farmer (Mbarara)
Community Elder

Our partnership with the foundation has transformed our school grounds. The students now learn about the environment not just in books, but by caring for the trees they plant with their own hands.
